After completing four years at Cathedral he decided not to pursue the priesthood. Against school rules, he continued to play football off-campus throughout his studies at Cathedral. Quasar's flag not only includes black and brown stripes but colors from the transgender pride flag, as well. The Progress Pride Flag was created by designer Daniel Quasar in June 2018. That redesign was the work of the Philadelphia Office of LGBT Affairs in partnership with advertising agency Tierney.
